Great Falls Dog Training Club

A little about the Great Falls Dog Training Club

Club meetings are held the 4th Wednesday of each month at the Ursuline Centre, 7:00 pm

Organized in the early 1970s, the GFDTC is an AKC-accredited all-breed obedience and tracking club dedicated to fostering responsible dog ownership. Our objectives are to:

  • promote the training of purebred dogs
  • disseminate knowledge regarding obedience and tracking training
  • conduct classes for the training of dogs and their handlers
  • encourage the training of judges
  • hold and support obedience trials, tracking tests, and sanctioned obedience and tracking matches under the rules and regulations of the American Kennel Club
  • promote cooperation and good sportsmanship among its members in the training and exhibition of dogs

To those ends, we offer obedience instruction, obedience trials and tracking tests, fun matches and the Canine Good Citizen Program. Our public outreach efforts include obedience demonstrations and presentations to various organizations on a variety of dog-related topics
