Christmas Party, Awards Banquet
Each year in December the Great Falls Dog Training Club has a Christmas party in place of the December club meeting. This year the party was held on the 10th of December at the Prospector and it was quite a bit of fun!
The Christmas party is an opportunity for the club to recognize member accomplishments. A very special award was given to Marie, the club training director for her many years of devoted service. Rewards were given to those club members who received a title on their dog during the year. It was also an opportunity to thank the officers who were exiting from their duties and welcome in new officers.
Next year we will have another awards party in place of the December club meeting. My guess is it will be even as much fun or more, gotta love us dog people! |

Ronni, & Gary were our very comical MC’s,
and Gladys gave out awards. There was quite a bit of behind the scenes
work done for the party, many thanks to all of you who so graciously
gave of your talent, and time, not to mention donated door prizes! 
We also had a Christmas gift exchange, Chinese style! With of course
our own twist! If an unopened package was taken . . . that was just fine,
but if you wanted to swipe an open one, you had to sing a Christmas carol
or give a training command to the person with the gift! One of the funniest
parts of the evening, for me, was when Marie decided she liked the adorable
snowman that Al had already unwrapped. Imagine Al’s surprise as
he was tugged by his collar and told to heel! My only regret is that
it was not captured as a Kodak moment!
