Following is a testimonial from one of our club members:

Last year I attended a workshop with Tina which was to introduce members of the Lethbridge Kennel Club to the concepts of Tellington Touch (this will be only a small section at our seminar). Although, I had heard of Tellington Touch, I knew little about it and was somewhat skeptical about its application. However, being willing to try anything once, I signed up.

I found the workshop to be so much more than what I expected primarily because of the depth of knowledge that Tina brought to the workshop. Tina is not an "obedience trainer" in that she will show you methods to improve your dog's performance in the ring. I believe she teaches you how to read your dog so you deepen your relationship and understanding of your dog and that will translate to better communication and better performance in the ring. Tina has worked extensively with rescue animals in the Calgary Animal Shelter and as a result has seen, the most aggressive, most timid and most neglected of animals. She teaches classes to would-be owners to insure the success of those placements. She not only can read a dog's smallest body movements, she provides concrete suggestions on how to help you work with your animal. She does not use force or corrections. Tina's teaching style is organized, respectful and fun.

I also attended some of Tina's private sessions as I volunteered to be her driver in town. It was a great opportunity for me to learn more. She understands how to communicate her knowledge to both dog and handler in a clear and respectful manner. I would highly recommend either her workshop or private lessons to anyone. The Lethbridge Kennel Club is planning to have her come back in the spring and I intend to be a participant both at the Lethbridge Seminar and the Great Falls seminar. I believe her workshops will benefit people who are serious about competion; just learning to be good pet owners; and people who are serious about helping train people to train dogs. I am looking forward to working with her again. Donnie Scott
